The wireless range is up to 300 ft (91 m) in open area; walls and floors reduce that. In a typical home, room-to-room and floor-to-floor use works well — and because the receiver just plugs into any outlet, you can simply move it to wherever you spend your time and test the spots that matter.
Does it need Wi-Fi, an app or a subscription?
No Wi-Fi, no app, no pairing with your phone, no monthly fees. The button and receiver talk to each other directly over their own wireless signal. Plug in the receiver, press the button, done.
How is it powered?
The receiver plugs into a standard US wall outlet (120 V) — no battery, no charging. The button runs on a CR2032 coin cell that's already included and lasts about 3 years of normal use.
Can the button go in the bathroom?
Yes — the button is IP55 waterproof and dustproof, so it's fine on a bathroom wall, by the shower or at the back door. Mount it with the included adhesive tape or screws. The plug-in receiver belongs in a dry indoor outlet.
