Graduated, not uniform
The knit is firmest around the ankle and eases as it goes up the calf. That is what graduated compression means, and it is why the fit feels different from an ordinary sock.

the numbers
20-30 mmHg is a firm compression class. It is noticeably tighter than a sports sock, and it should feel snug rather than painful. If anything tingles, goes numb or changes colour, take them off.

Firm graduated compression at 20-30 mmHg, in four colours and three sizes. Snug by design, and easy to put on before a long day.
20-30 mmHg is a firm compression class. If you have a circulatory condition, diabetes, nerve problems in the legs, are pregnant, or are recovering from surgery, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before wearing them. These are everyday compression socks, not a prescribed medical garment, and they are not a treatment for any condition.
It is the pressure the sock applies, measured at the ankle. The knit is firmest there and eases as it goes up the calf, which is what graduated compression means.
Go by your usual shoe size: S-M covers EU 34-37, L-XL covers 38-41 and XXL covers 42-46 and up.
Many people wear them through a working day and take them off in the evening. They are not meant to be slept in unless someone qualified has told you otherwise.
Snug and firm, but never painful. If your foot tingles, goes numb, changes colour or the sock leaves deep marks, take them off and reconsider the size.
Machine wash according to the label and skip the fabric softener, which breaks down the elastic fibres that give the sock its compression.
